Deep Sea Mining

Deep sea mining applications focus around large areas of subsea polymetallic nodules or active and extinct hydrothermal vents at 1,400 to 3,700 meters. These Hydrothermal vents create massive nodules of sulfide deposits comprised of rare earth metals such as silver, gold, copper, manganese, cobalt and zinc. Our subsea LiDAR underwater laser systems and Survey Support Services provide solutions to help clients survey, assess, evaluate and monitor deep sea mining projects.

Our Underwater subsea LiDAR Lasers and Survey Support Services Support:
  • Subsea topography surveys
  • Marine environmental assessments
  • Deep-sea mine tailings placement (DSTP)
  • Impact assessments
  • Mine decommissioning surveys
